How much do DJs get paid? was created by Ian Saunders
Not in the past, but now where they have to DJ to make money because there's no money in releasing records any more. Have fees gone up? Are they working harder? Or have they always been paid well and their fees might have gone down in relative terms, but are still worth staying up all night for? Are The Ratpack still £1,000 a set?

havent a clue but at a guess as demand has decreased so has fees.
is there still a market for ratpack to play 3-4 gigs a weekend.
Do the ratpack split the money 50 / 50 - i know bukem and conrad was something like 80 / 20

There's a massive divide between Hardcore and Drum & Bass DJs, and of course lower and higher tier. For a "B list" hardcore DJ you're looking at under £200. A-list up to about £5/600. Drum & Bass DJs are considerably more, thousands for some of the biggest names, and even the relatively unknown ones charge more than most hardcore or old skool DJs. That's the main reason you rarely see loads of jungle DJs on an old skool line up unless it's a massive event, you can book three hardcore DJs for the cost of one d&B DJ.
