I need someone1.

Head over to theprodigy.com to hear new single, new alum November 2nd called No tourists.

Sounds a bit edm with rock with usual prodigy poison style beats. Thought it was quite good but still wished they went back to rave roots. God knows what the rest of album will be like.

What you think of new song if you’ve heard it?

I dunno why Matt Clarke bothers with this website anymore, it all seems truly dead now doesn’t it. I think when I hit 40years of age I’m quitting listening to oldskool or nu rave for good. I’m fed up of hearing half hearted tunes being made and dj sets the play the same shite day in day out. Hardly anyone visits this forum anymore or reply’s to messages anymore. Sorry to have a rant and don’t blame Facebook as I don’t use crap like that. Seems one big disappointment at the moment. Think I’ll quit and this will be last post from me. I’m bloody done tbh!

I never did like rock concerts cover bands with parents , the ones I’ve been too were always too loud and distorted sounded shite, what a rubbish mixer sound guy. Prefer the clean warm sound myself like a good cosmic club that plays electronic music.

Well back then I was a toy town raver at 13years in 1992 I only knew chart toppers like the prodigy, sesame treat, far out, dj seduction, the shamen, 2U, slipmatt and dj hype. Had very little knowledge of the underground scene at time apart from Amiga demos like Jesus on Es and psi division if you can call it that.

I’ve heard of the name, didn’t really take much notice of him back in day because he was named after a fizzy drink but listened to his tunes again recently and are top notch though. How old was he? RIP anyway. Good ones go first.

My word! Renoise is excellent! Reminds me of a glorified Octamed on the Amiga...

What good trackers you tried, pro tracker, sound tracker Octamed or radium? Those were good old days of sequencing! Reason, Cubase or logic are boring now! But it’s all good really...

Well after a lot of research I find digital technology has ruined the planet, anybody who is in the know, prefers analog vinyl, tbh with ya, anything after the digital switch I felt things ain’t been quite right in this music world! When was the digital switch ? 1994 was year I went off hardcore for a while until 1997 when I heard this site and for nastalgia purposes. Listening to my dads analog vinyl back in day felt right. But listening to commercialised cds sounded too perfect not real and internet mp3s were piss poor but we’re very convenient and easy to click and listen.

I find most digital synths tinny or just cheesy and naff, analog synths have more warmth and beef, who is using none digital equipment these days? Are there shops or online stores that specialise in analog synths, probably expensive and wouldn’t recommend it unless your a serious head candy producer. A digital computer is a simple solution just to fart around like an amateur and is still good to an extent.

I remember my taxi driver saying music died in 1979 well to him it did because everything went electronic then.

Also why is nearly everyone depressed, is it digital induced depression? (DID)

So is analog better or all hype?

What you say?

Cheers cb.

Coolbreeze created a new topic ' What do you wonna hear? (Survey)' in the forum. 7 months ago

Yes we all love a bit rave music that has a oldskool nu rave feel? But what do you wonna hear that is brand new and is authentic and ground breaking, still underground and pushing boundaries? Do we need new genres or bring back the good old rave in modern ways and productions? How we going to move things forward for the rave scenes? What do you want?

Example?

1. Oldskool tunes with modern productions and a twist to it.

2. Something new I ain’t heard before, teach me something new!

3. Piss take of old tunes with different comedy lyrics.

4. Tunes that sound like favourite rave bands.

5. Remixes or improved versions of tunes.

6. Other please state what?

Please write your list? What you wonna hear...

Cheers

Hardcore will never die...
