Tune of the month

www.spreaker.com/user/markdevlin/mark-de...m_term=episode_title

Seems to be some interesting stuff about the certain music scenes like rave scene, the drugs, who started it, 30years of acid house and links with CIA and shadowy government and was all a set up and didn’t develop organically? Bit David icke but with music.

You might like.

Cheers

Mark.

Hi all, you’ve heard It all before rock and roll, pop, punk, disco and then rave was all the work of devil? What did religious people say about Rave music? Was the Music evil and to poison the minds of the rebel youth at the time? I mean at the start of the rave era we had acid house, a recession in uk and 3million unemployed in thatcher era, everything was blamed on the young, the youth thought fuck it we’ll party to reptivive beats and squelchy synths and create a cult like following and party hard? Did it help improve people’s lives or was it all a distraction and instead of solving our problems we turned to hedonistic pleasure instead? People like mark devlin a dj who wrote the book music truth thinks a lot of the music scenes in 20th century were all set up to munipulate the masses but in what way? Its obvious the Beatles and a lot of famous big rock groups were set up with corporate backing and used by global elites but for what or for big bucks? I always thought underground rave was a very organic movement and was from bottom up rather than top down like commercial music or anything set up. Even so the rave scene was the last true genre of the last decade, last century and of the last millennium. Was it really the peak of all music? Because to my ears nothing touch’s it since? I mean where’s today’s big genres or movements? Jack shit really!

I did hear once (think I recall) in an interview Liam wanted to quit after gilted era, but fans kept pressuring him to do more and hassled him so he made fat of the land, made loads of money and it continues. I also heard he is going back to roots, so the new stuff might be like your love or charley who knows?

Wasn't really keen on them in the first place but frequency was a good past tune. They weren't really rave artists but rather a silly rave act in clownish dust masks.

I haven't met anyone on here, but made some good internet pals, remember Prime Movements aka steve from Bristol, used to be a interesting nu-oldskool producer on here and had many interesting telephone chats over the years with him. I did have a holiday week with my parents near where he lived but I offered to see him but he couldn't because he had his grandads funeral to prepare or something like that.

You don't have to take it seriously, I just find it funny listening to bigoted old men and what they say about modern music.

Think the tune was played on Homes under the hammer BBC, it wasn't that version, it had more trancey dance stabs to it that sounded almost 90s but new. There is several remixes and mostly shite yes.

They say Musicians/artists want more of everything, so they gave us more, but isn't that just making things too nerdy and more to play with, shouldn't they try something like humanising the technology rather than adding more techy stuff? They actually say less is more. As reason can be fiddly and needs to be more user friendly or something? I seem to think the more techy things have gotten the less creative things have gotten. That's why a lot of recent music is suffering I think.

What you reckon to this?

Cheers

That's not a bad idea, I think they are already doing that with AI music, if you search for it and you can pay over internet for music made by just the computer. Lol. Good for movie producers or advertisers that want royalty free music for quick.
