Fantastic band and a big part of my childhood and teenage years.
I thought of them as a band who brought in lots of fans outside the scene and bridged the gap between mainstream and underground style. Android is my favourite tune by them and I had it on an XL mixtape that I played so much it just about wore out.
Its really tragic that he took his own life considering the amount of people that loved him and his music. I don’t really bother too much about celebrity deaths but this one got to me a bit. I watched a video of him taking time out to speak to disabled fans during a performance on Facebook and something must have got in my eye.
If this had happened a few years back this thread would be in the hundreds of replies. Times change but this does leave a gap.
Kev bird wax doctor remix.
Thomas the tank engine was never the same after he appeared on the expendables 23
First one is paranoize on break the limits records. Amazing tune.
Second is Forbidden zone.
It's rare to have a producer at the top of the game and to have the Midas touch on everything they did but tango did it. From the early formation stuff to the jungle remixes and of course the great tango and ratty tunes. I would buy his stuff on sight without even listening to it back in the day.
Very sad news, I don't post on here very often but on hearing this wanted to say something.
Cocaine rhythm section records
Any recommendations for something free and compatible with Windows 10 64 bit?
Had an ancient pc with cool edit pro and wondered what you guys use?
Apologies if this is the wrong forum.
Love his stuff, 9mm was a classic I knew it from raves at the time.
Since then had bought lots of his stuff without realising it was him.
Alien Christ stuff is excellent, sounds like basement recs stuff.
I put this list together a few years back, one of my favourite genres.
Was listening to Annie mac the other day when suddenly some tune comes on that sounds like '95 jump up with mc gq just shouting over the top.
It's getting amazing reviews for what essentially is just hmp runninz and trouble on vinyl vol 4 with a few rave mc samples.
Could this be a revival for jump up stuff?
Wasn't really my favourite era tbh and looking back musically it was a bit naff. I find it a bit laughable that it's being bigged up so much.
Anyway, haven't been on here for ages. Hope everyone has a nice Christmas.
