Last year Symmetry festival was pretty good for oldskool but thats not on this year I think it may be back on next year. Sunday was superb for oldskool on the Clockwork stage and I was lucky to play with my partner Louise +1 on there.

Freekuency at the beginning of the year in Portugal the last 2 years has been great too a fair bit of oldskool with all sorts of other techno/dnb will deffinately go to that next year.

Glastonbury has its fair share of oldskool in Shanri-La and the Common. Really enjoyed playing on Bloc 9/Brainwash in 2015 and again Brainwash in 2016 ... Brainwash was a micro venue for about 100 people in Shangri-la but they seemed to have done away with the micro venues this year. It was great we had Friday night Techno and Saturday Oldskool/Drum and Bass the sets were recorded and are up on mixcloud www.mixcloud.com/Brainwash_Glastonbury/

Boomtown seems like the big one coming up there is bound to be lots of oldskool there.

I am pretty sure I can remember that charting and like they said in the interview when the majors realised the content of the song they where playing versions where it just dropped out on key words like "Rizla","spliff" and "ganja"

I can remember their follow up ep "changing styles" .. didnt have quite the same impact

Yeah I have been checking them out love stuff like this. I was suprised to see a Mark Ryder one on there as he rarely seemed to do anything in the line of interviews! The Ratpack one was funny too as the camera seemed to pick up a lot of banter at the beginning that I dont think was intended for the broadcast then someone fiddled with the camera and the real stream seemed to kick in !

A few of us used to play as part of Let the bass kick crew on Originuk.net on Friday mornings before Rays show at 1pm and we used to love a bit of banter with him a genuinely nice guy. The 1st time I met him I was asking really nerdy questions about the unreleased version of midnight and he said on the mic "this guy knows more about me than I do" ... will be keeping tabs on this show for sure .. very similar to the Dugs RCFF interviews which I have loved listening to

Glad to see people appreciating it. There is another 30 mins of him going through his record collection it needed some more editing but we are hoping to put this up at a later date.

I can't believe the amount of stuff Jason had in perfect condition! My flyer stash is totally ruined lol!

I grew up round Watford/Hertfordshire ways. Green Apple was the very 1st one I picked up also Pulse FM, Energy FM, I could pick up Rush, Flex FM, Zone FM, Kool FM... later years Dream FM ... there was loads of ones popping up randomly .. Pirate Radio was amazing as I was listening before actually going to raves and the buzz of just hearing the tunes was amazing !

Hughesee replied to the topic 'Everybody In The Place (Leeroy Thornhill 2017 Edit)' in the forum. 4 months ago

I heard a DJ play this recently in a set of very similar stuff there seems to be a lot of slowed down breaks rips of oldskool tunes which seems really take the steam out it in comparison to the original ... then again .. cant beat an original eh !

Comment by Hijack on Facebook:
“The next instalment from the distant planet crew. Come along, be part of it, and generally enjoy yourself. We may not realise it but what we’re doing today will be documented and recorded in time and 20 years from now there will be a new generation watching this stuff to understand where the scene was before their day. The same way us nerds love watching the videos from the 90s. Hope to see many of you on the day, get there early and join in and in 20 years time people can laugh at the clothes we were wearing and all that”
