41 and still pissing off the neighbors, I don't see that changing soon. I expect that as we creep closer to that grim day, we'll hold onto hardcore all the stronger for the memories it brings of our collective youth...
The boy is nine now and is quite comfortable on the decks and can scratch with moderate skill. He told me he doesn't like the music they play at school, it's 'too slow'!

Unless I become a true old fart and start listening to classical music exclusively, I think I'll still be popping tunes on and reminiscing wistfully, that is if I still have the memories lol.

I listen to it less and less now. Absolutely love the tunes still, but to be honest I prefer to listen to more chilled stuff day to day. Would never stick old skool (or any kind of dance music) on in the office or car, it's meant for raves and that's whare it should stay IMO. Listening to it on anything but a 20k rig just isn't the same, the bass should shatter your ribs :D
So I reckon it will be occasional/nostalgic listens when I'm getting on a bit.

i'm 30 now, still love it and am sure i'll be listening to hardcore until i die.
i will say, though, my tastes have "matured". i listen to the more atmospheric stuff and am not particularly interested in most of the anthems i used to like.

I reckon it will stay with most of us until we die similar to other music scenes as with the 60's Mod / rocker generation, the punk generation and so on! We are the rave / ecstasy generation.
