Olympics

Post by Double Drop » Thu Apr 05, 2012 2:32 pm

Is there anyone else who just couldn't give a monkey's?

I just answered a survey on a site I'm a member of and all the questions seemed to be about how the Olypmics would change your viewing/eating/wanking habits (okay, maybe not that last one). All my answers were along the lines of "The Olympics won't change my behaviour at all".

It sort of drove home that there would actually be people out there who would buy more food, drink, etc or take time off work to watch this bollocks with friends or drag their TV outside so they can have a barbecue party whilst watching the 50m reach-around or whatever the fuck the events are.

Am I on my own here?

Never been interested in olympics myself (other than the odd event), and I doubt it's being in England will alter that.

I couldn't give one solo solitary fuck about the Olympics, the Jubilee, the royal weddings, Princess Diana, Kate Middleton's sister or.. well you get my drift.

When's the 50m reach-around on? I like the sound of that! No, the olympics is irrelevant to me. I think it was Will Self who called it 'the festival of running and jumping'

It's all about Euro 2012 for me that will be the sporting highlight of the summer.
