Hahahaha!

I put in for mine to be deleted two days ago mate.

It is just too much of a ballache these days. And besides, when you see someone make an account for their dog, you KNOW you have to jack it in! Haha

I might consider it when the timeline thing happens.

Trouble is 90% of my mates live abroad, so it's a really good way of keeping in touch.

I binned my old account.

I knew I'd try to go back to it so I fucking destroyed it; deleted each contact individually, each text field, each photo album, each group, etc.

Then I changed the email address it was associated with to a random one, changed the password to a random jumble and copied and pasted it into the repeat password field, hit change and then logged out so that I didn't know the password and couldn't recover it.

Oh, and then copied something else to clear the clipboard.

Worked a treat.

My new account and I are a year old now.

In this day and age when all your mates organise events on the thing and all the photos they take are uploaded there it's really a requirement to be on FB to have a social life.

Deleted mine a couple of months back. Not easy to find out exactly how to do it.

Once it's done, make sure you don't return to Facebook for two weeks or else your account gets re-activated!

my god im doomed! this is what im worried about, deleting everything and then finding myself starting a new account again because i have some sort of facebook addiction.

that last paragraph and having family from liverpool on there is whats stopping me so far. tried deleting the app off my phone, that didnt work for long...tried not going on it at home and only lasted a few days.

Get a Google+ account instead, it's so dead on there you'll never feel the need to sign in to it.

The only thing that bothers me about Facebook is the endless pics of friends' children and hourly posts about what their children are doing. Benjamin just put jam in his hair...Benjamin is wearing my sunglasses. He looks sooo cute. Oh just shut up!!

what about those posts where there will be a picture of some child in hospital apparently there because of cancer treatment, or because he needs some sort of transplant. saying to 'like', if he gets 1000 likes he will get a new liver, or better cancer treatment in america.....

its not just this sort of thing that fucks me off about facebook but also the mindless idiots that actually press 'like'

The "meme" things are annoying as hell as well!

ie: It's a picture that is made up of 6 parts... "This is what my friends think i do", "This is what my parents think i do" etc.

GGGGRRRR!
