Kindle

Anyone got one? Any good?

I'm tempted to get one but I only buy about two or three new books a year so it wouldn't save me much money.

I buy about twenty or thirty books a year second-hand, mainly from boot-sales or eBay usually for pence. If I could get second-hand books on the Kindle I'd be sold!

See loads of them here in the US. Very popular with commuters.

haha!! Good man, I detest them too.

As for Kindle, I know a few people with them and the rave about them. And I must admit the screens are very good.

Don't interest me though - I'm too addicted to books. The feel, the smell..... I love a well-stocked book case. And I love book shops (even though I'm guilty of then buying the books off Amazon as they're loads cheaper!)

Same.

I've got hundreds of books here on four big bookcases and another ten boxes or so under my bed until I can afford another bookcase.

I have a kindle.

I have bever been a huge book reader but always like to have something on the go.

Only ever read autobiography as cant stand fiction!

The kindle is superb IMO, battery lasts for ages (couple of months using it for about 30 mins a day) and text is easy to read.

I like it even more now that Perm thinks its the 2nd gayest invention ever!!!!

I have the Kindle app on my phone so im happy with that and i think it's cool, when you are running out of space with books it makes sense, i still do occasionally buy books but haven't got a lot of space.
