I'm going to get slated for it but I don't care: I'm loving the charts at the moment.

Example, Retch32, Adele, LMFAO, Jessie J, Katy B, Chase & Status... fuck, even the Black Eyed Peas are doing it for me right now. And as previously stated, there's loads of breakbeat a g'wann.

agreed, lovin the charts at the moment. last year was also good too with professor green and tiny tempa

Deep and soulful house, some deep tech but it needs to be melodical!
There's a lot of inspiration in those genres to still write new type tracks.
House and oldskool always have walked alongside each other!
