Re: Battle field 2: bad company
I tried the online demo and then promptly deleted it.
It aint no MW2.

Re: Battle field 2: bad company
Well apparentley it's better than mw2.
Can't really base a whole game on a demo mate.

Re: Battle field 2: bad company
yeah, I doubt if I'll play it as I'd sooner play with my mates, but I've heard many reports saying it's a better online shooter than MW2.
Well, maybe I'll give the demo a go...

Re: Battle field 2: bad company
is this the one you can get in planes and tanks and stuff, i think i played the demo online where you are on a south pacific island, there is an aricraft carrier as well. I quite enjoyed playing it, but the planes where hard to control lol
Re: Battle field 2: bad company
^ no that's something entirely different. I played that too (didn't rate it).

Pre-ordered. Loved the first one and thankfully they've nerfed the snipers a bit on this one and made a solution to the spawn issues of the first one. Bit more tactical than MW2, but not the total borefest like OpFlashpoint.
Re: Battle field 2: bad company
Such a short single player campaign! shorter than MW2, but it was really good while it lasted. Loved the little digs about MW2 during the game

THen I saw the magic word 'EA' and it all became clear.... :wanker:

Re: Battle field 2: bad company
Pre-ordered it and it arrived Friday. Finally played it tonight for an hour or so and then played MW2 for a couple of hours. Going to give it time but first impressions are that I will be loading the MW2 disc a lot more still. Found it to be lots of running around finding someone to shoot and more often than not dying without ever seeing who was shooting me. I'm not that bad a player before you say it!
Controlling the UAVs was fun though although they take an age to reload :s

Re: Battle field 2: bad company
Still a bit wookie central (ie snipers in bushes) more worried about k/d ratios than helping their team with the objectives. Still, allows plenty of scope for "the dentist" achivement - a headshot with the power drill - as you line up behind the snipers totally unaware of you :). Definately a bit more tactical then MW2, mainly due to the maps being a lot bigger and the options to vehicles. Still playing both though, the best of both worlds.
On another note, dont bother buying the 'limited edition' - its just a set of codes that give you access to some extra weapons from the off, but they're pretty easy to unlock anyhow. Bit of a con for an extra £3-£4.

Re: Battle field 2: bad company
well, I've just bought it! Hopefully give it a go tonight.
CoD has been getting on my tits lately - played a few games the other night and it was a constant stream of harriers, copters, akimbo shotguns and kids with marathon / lightweight / commando perks.... so I'm hoping Battlefield has a more back-to-basics gameplay that doesn't rely on perks as much.
