The Neutronium Alchemist - Peter F Hamilton. Very good, but does it REALLY need to be so long? It's a heavy book to carry on the commute!

I went to Astley book farm and picked up (i wish i had a scanner or there was a picture on the interweb, cos the cover is the best i have EVER seen).

Kriss Akabusi - On Track With The Bible.

Kriss Akabusi giving his views on the good book and the teachings of Christianity.

Sample quote talking about how beautiful things couldn't have happened by chance (or evolution):

"If you were to walk across the desert and come across a Land Rover, you wouldn't say "Wow! This Land Rover came from nowhere!", you'd think, "i wonder where it came from?". Then you'd think, "i wonder who made it?".

And if you got into the Land Rover and looked inside the glove compartment, and found that there was a manual in there, you'd say "Wow, there's a manual for this"

The Bible is that manual"

Top bollock writing.

yeah true, but that's what we want from our sci-fi isn't it? Banks goes on a bit too.

Skeleton Crew - Stephen King
Raving Lunacy - Dave Courtney
Chew, Vol. 1: Taster's Choice - John Layman
The Strain (The Strain Trilogy, #1) - Guillermo del Toro
Last Night a DJ Saved My Life: The History of the Disc Jockey - Bill Brewster
Soldier Five: The Real Truth About the Bravo Two Zero Mission - Mike Coburn
Chew, Vol. 2: International Flavor - John Layman
D-Day: The Battle for Normandy - Antony Beevor

On an On Topic tip, Raving Lunacy was excellent and Last Night a DJ Saved My Life covered the whole of the hardcore and jungle scenes in about two pages; if you want an insight into disco, Northern Soul and Detroit Techno it's okay.
