Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Post by Double Drop » Mon Oct 26, 2009 10:30 am

Not long now! =D>

Some leaked gameplay on YT now:

Been playing COD4 again to get back in the swing of things... and I think that for the first time ever I'm going to be a proper geek and take the 11th off and pick it up at midnight.

"3rd Person is a new playlist mode in Multiplayer," Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling said. "So you can play your favorite playlists [or] game types, like Team Deathmatch just standard, or in Hardcore mode ([with] limited HUD and increased bullet damage) or in the new 3rd Person mode, which means you and everyone in the game is in 3rd person."

Everyone in games of this type will be forced to play in third-person, says Bowling, so a level playing field is ensured.
Thank god third-person is confined to its own playlist. I don't intend using it myself and I don't fancy going up against people who can see round corners.

yeah can't stand 3rd person either, which always rendered GoW useless once i'd completed the story !

Modern Warfare 2's custom killstreaks have been listed on the internet, thanks to a YouTube video leak that's now been pulled.
  • 3 Kills -- UAV
    4 Kills -- Care Package
    4 Kills -- Counter UAV
    5 Kills -- Sentry Gun
    5 Kills -- Predator Missile
    6 Kills -- Precision Airstrike
    7 Kills -- Strike
    7 Kills -- Attack Heli
    8 Kills -- Emergency Airdrop
    9 Kills -- Pave Low
    9 Kills -- Stealth Bomber
    11 Kills -- Chopper Gunner
    11 Kills -- AC-130
    15 Kills -- EMP
    25 Kills -- Tactical Nuke
Bugger, I've never got better than a 14 kill streak. No Tac Nuke for me!

theres a shop about 20 miles from me selling some on friday, a couple of my mates have got theres pre ordered from there. just gonna wait till tuesday and pick mine up from down the road though. A few mates that have played the copied ones on split screen reckon the maps are pretty good, and gameplay is not much different than cod4. they reckon all the guns there've used to so far as well are quality.

the more videos I watch the more concerned I'm getting. There seems to be more 'screen furniture' now, and I hope it's not going to be too 'arcady' or gimmicky with these OTT kill streaks. And sticky grenades? WTF?!

Hope I'm wrong...
