ha ha ha
I think they've had problems today in the South East with outage. Had to reboot everything when I got home and noticed I've picked up a new IP. I'm getting the fastest I've ever got from them right now, probably half the people normally on-line haven't rebooted yet.

Virgin are shit. Worst ISP I've ever used. I'm only with them because I'm staying with family at the moment and it's too much hassle for them to switch to another ISP.
VM won't upgrade Milton Keynes' cable system to digital even though the phone system in MK isn't suited to ADSL so most of us in MK can barely get 1Mb on ADSL. And the VM ADSL connection is always dropping, I have to reboot the router at least twice a day. Virgin suck.
What I wouldn't give to have my super fast Bethere broadband connection I had in London

their 50mb service has been great so far. Whole DVD in about 15 minutes.

a quick question for those having problems: why don't you just ditch Virgin? I had them for a few years and they were great at first. The the last few months were shocking, especially in the evening.
So I fucked them off and went with these fellas:

Absolutely faultless. Can't recommend them enough.

I've been with Virgin over 9 years now and get no problem with speeds (on Cable that is). As for being throttled you just need to work around their timings - kick off your downloads in the morning, dinnertime, early evening then after 9pm it's all you can eat (I use grabit which auto-shuts the machine after doing so)
http://www.virginmedia.com/help/traffic-management.php
btw the main reason I'm with them is their newsgroup server. Stuff comes down in minutes (750mb in around 10 mins on 10Mb connection). If I was with any other ISP I would be paying an extra tenner a month for this facility.

Been with NTL/Virgin for 5 years & never had a problem bar the odd blue moon when the system goes down for a few hours.
