I saw a lad in the year above me leave his bmx outside the chippy next to our school so had a bright idea…I undone his quick release nut on his front wheel and waited over the road to watch the fun. Only it didn’t go to plan. He came out of the chippy with his girlfriend (who was stunning btw) and SHE got onto his bike, rode it at a fair speed then jumped off the kerb…this was when my prank kicked in. the front wheel stayed on the floor as she lifted the handlebars to jump the kerb, then the forks crashed into the tarmac sending her face first into the road. As if that wasn’t bad enough, her 2 front teeth went straight through her top lip and knocked the teeth out. She now still has a scar that looks like a hair lip and 2 false front teeth, somewhat spoiling her looks. She blamed her BF and dumped him, and left our school not after. I was never found out as me and my mate kept our gobs firmly shut.

Im laughing as I type this but at the time I felt like shit and was worried that if I was found out, not only would I have been excluded from school but I would have been battered.

also, a mate of mine was nagging at his mate calling him a chicken because he daren't jump off a cliff into a flooded quarry pool. eventually the lad did jump but drowned doing it. now THATS one to fuck with your mind if you was the one nagging....bad shit man.

When I was 16 I used to joyride golf buggies late at night with a few of my mates. Was living in Spain at the time and we used to always do it after midnight when things got quieter. What we would do is hide behind a hedge and wait for Manuel the security guard to leave his post at the clubhouse and then we would scramble to the Yamaha petrol golf buggies with our spare keys that we pinched and peddle to the metal. It was so much fun, the sprinklers on the golf course would come on and we would try and pull crazy stunts with them. We did have the police chase us on a couple of occasions with their 4x4'S and we would disperse in all directions so it made it hard for the police to catch us (Non of us ever got caught) We did damage the buggies badly sometimes playing destruction derby with them and taking them on dirt tracks. I once drove over a massive bolder that jammed the accelerator in forcing me to jump off the buggy and let it continue going by itself into the darkness until I heard an almighty smash! Another guy drove one into the sea and left it there.

It was a very bad thing to do as we caused damage to putting greens, fairways and not to mention buggies! I don't regret what I did and I stopped doing it just as the police started searching for the people who kept on joyriding them.

In 1983 my parents and two brothers went to the churchyard to visit my Nan's grave who died a year earlier. My brothers and I went off to muck about in this wooded area next to the church which also contained a public toilet. I found a couple of sweat mags near the bogs. These weren't ordinary mags like Razzle etc, they were like German hardcore with graphic pics of blokes shagging women, small format numbers.
Anyway my dad must have seen us laughing at them cos he came over and wanted to know what we were looking at. He was pretty cross when he found them. The shame and embarrassment I felt when he had a look at these magazines I won't ever forget. Especially after I'd lied and told him we weren't looking at anything.
Call me naieve but I didn't know what sex was until then. It's not even that bad just looking at some pornos but it felt like it at the time.

I remember finding my first box of hedgerow grumble when I was about eleven. Proper big box full of European art-house mags tucked away amongst the rabbit snares and stingers on the old coach road in my village. Moustachioed twins and spit-roasts and shiznit.

Probably explains my penchant for facial hair now.

PMSL  Never heard that expression before.

The finding of this stuff at as a child/teenager almost seems to be a right of passage.

What I've always wanted to know is, who the hell leaves all this stuff in hedgerows/railway embankments and why?

Surely if you wanted to keep it you'd keep it and if you wanted to get rid of it you'd just put it in the bin :? Why the need to leave it in a hedgerow or railway embankment? :-k

Ok here's another one for you.

This isn't strictly childhood because I was 17 at the time. I wouldn't say I regret this but I did feel like a grade A tw*t when it happened and it always makes me cringe when I think about it.

It was 1992 and I'd recently bought my first car, a mk11 ford escort. Me and a few of my mates all had our first cars and we used to do the boy racer thing, cruising around Milton Keynes city centre in the evenings. I know, I know, what can I say I was young and stupid

I'd finished work for the evening and I knew all my mates would be in their usual spot outside Waitrose (classy  ). In MK there are car parking spaces either side of little car park roads outside the shopping centre (anyone who's been to MK will know what I mean). Because it was night time all the parking spaces were free so there was plenty of room either side of the road and I could see my mates all hanging around by their cars in the distance.

So I thought I'd be a bit flash and as I got a bit closer I booted it and as I neared them I dropped the clutch wrenched up the handbrake and pulled off the most spectacular, loud and noisy handbrake turn you've ever seen in your life. It was near enough a full 180 degree spin. It was only as I was about halfway through this handbrake turn that I turned my head to the left and saw a white car parked right by my mates with the word 'Police' written on the side!

The two blokes I'd seen my mates chatting to in the distance were in fact coppers. How the fuck I didn't see the police car before I embarked on this foolish motoring manoeuvre I still don't know to this day!

Anyway my mates are pissing themselves laughing meanwhile these two burly uniform coppers come storming over to me and gave me the whole 'what do you think your playing at sonny jim' routine. After a five minute grilling they let me off with a warning and said if they ever saw me driving like that again they'd do me for dangerous driving.

Luckily half my mates thought I did it on purpose so I went along with it and said I knew they were there all along and it was just a balls out, two fingers up to the old bill.

I bought a long-sleeved Fantazia t-shirt at Fantazia Takes You Into 1992 but sold it for £15 about six months later.

I sold my Raiders cap in 1993 for a tenner.

1. Pulled a chair from the lowering buttocks of a fellow classmate with Spina Bifida. Accident.

2. Setting alight to a park dump behind my house. 4 fire engines. Misadventure.

3. Flicking stones on the side of the road. Hit taxi ran, got caught. Wasn't even my fault.

4. Threw large rubber, hit school princess & broke her nose. Horseplay!

5 Stole 1kg of potassium from school lab & threw in school water feature. Stupidity.

6. Exposed myself to some girls in my class during truth or dare & got caught by teacher. Painful discovery.

7. Looking through hole in partition in public toilet. Eye watering!

Unfunniest thing was splitting my sister's head open with a rock when I was about 5 years old.

Funniest but really regretted it after, was smashing up the school greenhouse and graffitting the school mini-bus all on the same night!
