Are you still interested in fashion?

Following on from the hair-do thread.

What do you make of today's fashion? Are you still into fashion or are you stuck in a time warp?

My sister (14 years younger than me) thinks I'm stuck in a 1990's time warp. It's still straight leg jeans, polo tops, baggy t-shirts / sweats, hoodies and adidas stan smiths for me. In an attempt to freshen up my look she bought me a pinstipe shirt and skinny tie combo for Christmas. Needless to say I've never worn it.

I've hated the mens fashion that been around for the last few years. All this skinny jeans, tight fitting t-shirts or shirt and skinny tie get-up, all topped off with a pair of skanky plimsoles. Fuck That! I ain't going around looking like an extra from an episode of Skins

A more worrying trend though, is my new habit of looking at the clothes racks in the big supermarkets - "t-shirt for £3, fuck it, I'll have one in each colour!". At this rate I'll be shopping in BHS by the time I'm 40

Got a leather reefer style jacket or my M65 Parka for winter.

i hate todays fashions, spesh for the girls with all the hi vis crap they seem to enjoy. you know your getting old when your kids stop asking if they look nice in thier new togs (as my usual answer is NO)

I'm not that interested - but having said that i never really liked 'High Street' fashion anyway - you always risked looking like a chav, before chav's even existed.

BITD in my clothes buying prime i preferred going to charity shops trying to buy vintage clothes - the sort of stuff you can get in Brighton, Shoreditch etc now for ridiculous sums of money: Old skool tracksuit tops, Farah trousers, vintage shirts, safari jackets, that kind of thing.
To be honest i can't be arsed these days - i used to spend Saturday mornings scouring Braintree and other surrounding towns, sorting through untold second hand crap from Foster's Menswear and C+A, which ironically would be classified as 'fashionable' now i suppose!!!

These days the only thing i actually insist on being REALLY picky about is trainers. And i hate anything with gay looking logos!
I still like a nice Penguin golf shirt though. Although they were verging on the chavvy before Lyle + Scott well and truly usurped them........

I feel like i have to go somewehere or do something whe i wear jeans , crazy i know ! haha

I just look out for adidas jackets & adidas or nike trainers !

Used to be MAD on clothes but those days are long gone !

Doesnt matter what brand it is , if it looks good then i'll have it !

Cant sand all that henleys , g-star shite though !

Proper posh chav / sheep clothing it is !

I wear a shirt everyday but these days im not that fussed
it use to be important but now i dont care to an extent be it ralph lauren
or next if i like it ill buy it !

I have never have and will never wear sports wear .. its not for me.

I've found that Gap low-rise boot-cut jeans fit me perfectly and look just fine.

I've been into Berghaus fleeces ever since I first started free partying and still wear them now.

I can appreciate the football casual stuff (stone island, lacoste etc) and the vintage sports wear.

Mainstream fashion of recent years just doesn't do anything for me though. I've tried some stuff on in shops in a desperate attempt not to look like a 1990's throwback but it doesn't even look right on me

what these silly cunts don't realise is that, like me, you can get Farafs in Matalan of all places for £18 a pair. Might start flogging them on Ebay as Vintage lol!

I'm a fashion victim without the spare cash. The 32" straight cut jeans I bought 10 years ago are now skinnys after excessive washing & incredible weight gain lol. Those tight fitting tops I bought when I was 13 stone are now tightly fitted around my wobbling 15 stone torso......................
It's not the increase around the waist it's the fact that I've grown a black girls batty & Roberto Carlos' thighs that have killed any fashion statement I could ever make.

I want to be thin again...........cue crying lol!
