Okedoky, let the voting begin :)

Rules

No votes will be accepted from anyone who joined the site on or after 01/01/2010.
No votes will be accepted from anyone with less than 25 posts.
No votes will be accepted from producers for their own tune (obvious, but has to be mentioned).
No double voting (Since the compo is on here & IAAO, no voting on both sites).

Please vote for your top 3 tunes in order you like them. Top place will get 3 points, 2nd 2 points & 3rd 1 point.
(Just type into the thread who your favourites are in the order you like them).
Eg: 1st - Mix 1, 2nd - Mix 2, 3rd - Mix 3.

Voting will last up until the end of Monday 8th Feb (UK Time).
I'll then count up all the votes & put the results up at some point the following day.

The 9 different mixes can be grabbed from here:

A big thanks to all those that did take part & hopefully everyone who downloads will enjoy what's been made :D

Ok, my votes: 1st, mix 1, second, mix 9 and 3rd, mix 5. Really, really hard to choose! Also really liked mix 8, very original, just think it was let down a bit by the mastering. Sounded a bit muddy in places. Sorry to anyone I didn't vote for, just personal preference at the end of the day.

For me all of the mixes had large sections that I realy liked but I found myself listening to the following more than the others. Big ups to all involved! :-)

1st - Mix 9
2nd - Mix 8
3rd - Mix 4 Top Gun ;-)

1. Mix 8, very nice track with good riffs and sounds, stylistic very much in my taste.
Unfortunately pretty poor recording or mp3 encoding which destroys the overall impression. The "hurt you so" break sounded like a 32kbps mp3 :( Shame!. I demand an explanation from the producer after voting why the recording sounded that bad.

2. Mix 1, I like the housey take on the tune. Top production, loud and clear. Creative ways of playing with the beep sounds, sounds like a modern, fresh tune you could hear out in the clubs nowadays. Not 100% in my taste but the production is by far the best in the bunch.

3. Mix 9, typical up-tempo hardcore tune with great intensity. Good drumming and properly arranged. Nothing to complain about here, maybe it could have more surprises and sudden turns.

Mix 4 had the best variation of the breakdown melody, proper hands-in-the-air vibe.

Anyway it was nice to see that we had 9 entries in this competition. Good work everybody. :)

cracking tunes. i can hear future classics here.

was hard to pick but im going for;

1st - mix 9. it just packs a shit load of energy and really does it for me. I'm not usually a fan of 4/4 kicks but i like this
2nd - mix 4. The vocals really work
3rd - mix 6. Has a sort of northan bleep'n'bass feel to it. Love it.

1st - 1
2nd - 2
3rd - 4

Pretty tricky for 3rd place, they all sound too similar to me

track 2 would have been first but I thought the arrangement got a bit lost in the middle section

anyhoo back to listening to asbestos death, metal rocks hahaha

Well done to everyone who took part. My vote is:

1st - Mix 9 - Just how i like my hardcore with fast and hard beats. This track reminded me of some of the very early Kniteforce stuff. In fact the main beat is used on one of the tracks on the Krull EP unless im mistaken...

2nd - Mix 7 - Again fast and hard beats. A couple of instances where things are out of time, but nonetheless a wicked track

3rd - Mix 4 - Good use of other samples and quite upbeat even tho its not as fast as 9 and 7

Mix 6 is a good tune aswell but slightly too much of a '92 feel for me. If it was faster and had more energy it would have been in the top 3.
