Great tune this, love the vocal, wicked breakbeats. This for me is Vibes at his best before he evolved into Happy Hardcore...

Got my own version of this where I put the flute at the start. Why the fuck it was put at the end where everyone has mixed it out of, I will never know.

I was going to make a post about how much it frustrates me when I see old skool hardcore described as cheese, but then I clicked the link :D

haha i mean a good portion of what i listen to is cheese. of varying strengths :D

but i wasn't going to post any happy hardcore, that's a whole separate kettle of cheese. I'm interested to hear some proper oldskool breakbeat with added cheese, cos i'm sure there's a few i'd really like that i haven't heard. generally any oldskool tune with an excessively high pitched vocal or inappropriate sample is right up my street.

first that comes to mind is the Fourth Dimension EP on F Project, for the Mr Men theme sampling track :D no audio sadly. always cheers me up that. Also pretty much all of these Weird Beard tunes: http://blogtotheoldskool.com/?p=156 - this being my favourite: http://blogtotheoldskool.com/blog/audio ... riends.mp3 - samples Cliff Richard. \:D/

I do hate the idea of "guilty pleasures" though. I have no shame in enjoying cheese, where's the shame in fun? Plus that just devalues the idea of guilt :D

Not sure I would class this as a 'guilty pleasure' banging track. Heard Kenny Ken drop this at ESP Back to the Future.

Agree totally! Here is one I was fuming at when I saw someone describe it as cheesy on discogs.

Takes me right back to when I first fell in love with this music, played this tape over and over and over!

Sy @ Obsession Third Dimension, what a set. Double Visions, Happiness, Sudden Impact, Trumpton (good mix ;) ) on and on.. one of my favourite sets of all time.

Yeah man, its so good. Not just the tunes but the mixing, chopping and scratching all over the shop and Tekno on the mic is brilliant. It blew my mind back then!
