Bestival

Post by Elusive9T2 » Wed Sep 09, 2015 9:59 am

Is anyone going on here?

I see Slipmatt's world of rave is there, I'll probably avoid that though

That picture of Billy is ridiculous.

Never did get why Dj's scream when they are having their photo taken...

Baby D must be 90, surely? Archer is a class Dj. Only really worth watching him and Kaotic Chemistry.

Hi,

lots of really good acts, worth seeing, so no point going to IOW and seeing the 'cheese' rave stuff - pointless...

Looks like Bunter is having an aneurysm.

Usually line up has quite a few bits I want to see at Bestival, line up wasn't really jumping out at me though for this years.

A few mates of mine are going, they're still trying to convince me as tickets are still available.

Not really feeling it tbh.

I'm back now, I really enjoyed it, heard a bit of hardcore on the port on Saturday night
As Gyr8 said there was plenty of other stuff to watch/hear, so I avoided the jive bunnies of rave
Jurrasic 5 was a personal highlight, proper raw hip hop, cut chemist scratching it up

Hi,

Missed Jurassic5, saw them last year at Glasto. Did they have the huge turntable, on its side, with scratching?

They had that a couple of months ago out here in Auckland.

It was a small venue out here, around 250 people. It was an awesome night, up close and personal. Loved Chali 2na, he pretty much stole the show.

They had 1210's, that massive turntable prop
and these odd CDJ & turntable looking things they can hold like a guitar

It was great fun. Paul Woolford and Mella Dee at the port were great and Zinc played a decent set too. We played Temple Island on Sunday with Luke Vibert and Dense and Pika - was decent. 2 new 2BM tracks were aired by Sean.....

Wilkestock was great but cold. Played Alchemy this weekend - was a blast.
DJ'd in a mud hut and it was powered by cyclists pedalling!!
