I never really followed happy hardcore and went the Jungle route in the early to mid 90s. It, but It kinda died for me after Dread Bass came out. Nothing stood out, everyone copied the B-line from it and Jungle became stale. D&B is ok, but I never really got into it big time like the early days of hardcore. I'd always been a hip hop fan and had always been into Solid Steel so I started buying 'Trip Hop' around 93ish. Mo Wax, Ninja Tune, Skint ect. Like Thrash Solid Steel pretty much covers everything for me these days, Got me into Dubstep which I am very fond of. Gave up buying Jungle/D&B in 95ish. Though I have started buying old tunes again recently, mostly cos my hardcore/jungle collection is miles away and I have nowhere to store it. So I purchase a few choice tunes here and there.

My favourite Blim/Freq Nasty remixes:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuaaR88gzuM (metisse - sousounde)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz-q-v-L2rI (steve reich - the desert music)

Also loved Uberzone on the breaks tip:

Koma & Bones / Breakneck / Cut La Roc / Dark Globe

There is a much better mix of that Eboman track posted... crazy mix.. can't find it on youtube tho :(

Oh & I guess you could regard this as an early breaks anthem ('96) - featuring Shara Nelson:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIz1lDc9sTE (Tune!!!) -> clip sadly gets faded out @ best bit

http://www.discogs.com/Shara-Nelson--Ka ... ease/32706 (chris carter / blim)

NB: If you don't like this tune, you have something wrong with you!

House was and still is my favorite although I always loved Rave /Hardcore after the split I continued with House Techno Trance but I started to take an interest in Happy Hardcore in 94 but after the second half of 95 lost interest as it got ridiculously cheesy, always liked Jungle but didn't like the actual scene, muppets who thought they were hard men in gangs and just went to start trouble, around 95 there was a massive resurgence in House or big room House as they called it, happy house /handbag was music I liked but always preferred the more underground scene.

Didn't really like happy hardcore & just the odd few bits from late 93/94 - as Elusive said, all those similar sounding beats without much else going on stopped me listening to most of it.
Have found some good bits over the last few years, but a load of it still sounds the same.

Got more into the house side of things from the mid 90s & also some of the big beat/breaks stuff later on.
Then discovered this place & 'new old skool' - the rest is history :)

Never did stop listening to hardcore though.
Also like lots of other styles - indie being another big one (mainly the early to mid 90s stuff).

Few nice breaks style bits that may not have already been mentioned:

(Very recognisable vocal in this later on ;) ).

(You may recognise from an advert that used to play at cinemas - Think it was a Bacardi one).

(Reasonable remix of a classic).
