Pennywise Remix Compo

Post by renegadegenius » Tue Sep 23, 2014 6:56 am

It's Compo time! :)

Here's some samples which make up the main tune, but use additional sounds/beats to make your own version. (example - grab the film for extra vocals, get the soundtrack for extra sounds).

Download:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/jn6l4 ... +Compo.zip

Rules:

Get your remix to me (via pm) by Oct 24th. (Extended Deadline)
Will then upload anonymously as Track1, Track2 & do the voting as per previous compos.

Have fun! :)

Might have a crack at this. By the way, there is another sample in the Automation Espionage remix that you have missed!

Me and my mate T are currently getting to grips with Abelton. We're up for this too. Pennywise being a favorite of ours.

Can't make it too easy :)
Plus doesn't have to be the same as the original - look forward to hearing what people can come up with - for once, I've actually finished my remix!!

Out of interest is this an official remix comp, eg permission from the artist? I only ask as I know the Tango remixes ended up on a 12", would love the same for this :)

Nope - unofficial.
Tango is still about, so easily contactable.

That's a shame, nobody know who 'Drakey' is? (apart from Gyr8  )

There was an 'official' repress about 10 years ago, so maybe there's a chance?

I think it is Justin Drake, he worked with Kev Bird in his KGB house days

I'm not sure where Paul Drake came from on discogs, it maybe a different person
I'm thinking they are the same person, but maybe this is one Jack Smooth can clear up

But another release on discogs says Drakey is Justin Drake......
