23rd Precinct in Glasgow. hardcore had kinda begun its slow death at the end of the 90s up there just as i was getting old enough to be properly into it, so that was the only place i really bought it new. By the time i could afford to buy vinyl even sort of rogularly i was in 2nd hand shops. I do vaguely remember another place called The Ultimate Mix, browsing in there. and Tower had a wide selection of gabba imports :D

re HMV I remember someone sayingn they used to get all sorts of proper underground hardcore techno from the main HMV in Liverpool in the mid 90s. i suppose back then a big shop shifted enough records that it'd be worth it to get even quite niche stuff.

Parliament Music. Pretty much lived in there in the 90's. Worked in the Hitchin branch with Nookie too.

HMV in Southend was always worth a look before going to your usual shop, loads of bits for £1.99 / £2.99

Abbey Discs was the biggest and best known record shop in Dublin but there was loads of other smaller places where we used to hang out on Saturday afternoons buying records and other things ;-)

Most of mine was from Boogie Times in Romford - plus trips to all the main players in London (b/mkt, unity, lucky spin, etc etc)
