Easygroove from Fantazia Summertime. I'd heard loads of stuff before that but that's the one when I thought WOW I fucking got to go to a rave. Still love that set.

Being from South London it was pirate radio that got me into the scene.

However, as we're talking tapes there's one tape that really really made me want to go to a rave. This tape was Pilgrim with Ribbz @ Fantazia Showcase 1992.

The sequence spanning Hypno Genesis EP, Jonny L, some unknown track and Cyanide 45 simply blew my mind. Especially Jonny L, which I didn't manage to get ID'd until I got onto the internet 5 years later! Also Chris Savage identified most of the tunes in the set for me. Rest in peace sir.

I met Pilgrim for the first time at Riverdance a few years back and highly amused my wife by waxing lyrical to him about how much I loved this set. Unfortunately even he couldn't ID the track at 31 minutes for me!! Top guy. As is Ribbz.

"OK Brother, let's Dance!"

Think I've posted up on here before that this was my favourite set ever back in the day, and still is up there in a handful of my favourite sets! That sequence of mixes you mention too really is what makes the set :)

The unknown is this:

Picked it up a few months ago when I found out what it was, goes for peanuts too.

This was the tape that everyone had around here in late 91, blew me away at the time and still does in a way... Easygroove was so unique and the tunes were (and still are) fantastic. I was completely hooked after that..

Well done on identifying that - how did you manage to ID it? I think it's about my last remaining ID from BITD. Will keep my eyes peeled for a copy for sale from a UK seller given it's such a cheap tune.

Some bootleg rave tape from 1990 with Acid House and Bleep, think Hardcore Uproar, LFO, Nightmares on Wax, etc

Mine was a DJ Gridge tape sometime during 1991. Never seen or heard of him since until recently I found out he was actually called DJ Cridge. :D

as soon as i saw the title of this thread , i thought of gachet and the audiomaze set from the original post, i had a copy of a copy of it and a 92/93 don fm recording from one of my sisters mates. It was around early 95 when i listened to these and until i locked into the pirates, dream fm etc , those 2 tapes were on constant rotation .

For me it was dreamscape 4, swane and Mastersafe and also apocalypse rider and cachet, had some serious plays!
