Amazing set, was just listening to it thinking how good Ramos was back in 93-95. love the N-Joi drumstruck tune dropped as well- shame it wasnt played too often by many DJs in the scene, am seeing him at uproar next month playing an old skool set- has anyone heard him do an old skool set recently? Hopefully wont be a 96 toytown anthem bash type affair! Link for the DS 6 set above :)

It's a brilliant set. I saw him live a few months ago, it was very much happy hardcore compared to this stuff, the crowd seemed to enjoy it though :)
Re: Dreamscape 6 Ramos
Awesome set isnt it, gets the goosebumps! Well most of my mates are dnb/jungle heads but they enjoyed hardcore until 95ish basically before it all got too stompy and cheesy and lost the breakbeat sound, so hopefully he will play some good old 93/94 tunes :)

One of the best sets like, evah!

to Ramos's credit, he was one of the first of those happy guys who got fed up with the cheese by 96 and tried to take things in a different direction.
he was great back then though.

Will have to check this out G-Man :) Ramos Dreamscape 10 is a killer set.
Carl Cox and Slipmatt used to play drumstruck, the whole ep is class and about £1.99 on discogs :-)

Agreed ABO, I still have the dreamscape 10 pack in the loft lol, some great sets, was when there was a massive hype about Dougal & Magica as a combo at the dreamscapes. And also agreed the whole drumstruck ep is good, boombass also good and the void was ok imo!

Hi,
Saw Ramos live loads, from same area as me...
Pity he is only really remembered for the happy era stuff, and is booked only to play the happy stuff :-(

he was booked around our way in '92 at Liberty, Stevenage, but yeah he does seem to get coined as a '94+ HHC DJ!dj_gyr8 wrote:Hi,

Re: Dreamscape 6 Ramos
haha. well tbh as far as my tastes go i'd have been happy for him to continue with the cheese but there our tastes differ, shall we say :D
but i really rate his 96-97 "trancecore" stuff. whereas Supreme's stuff at that point...hmm. :D

Magika is the total destroyer of tapes from bitd. I can barely listen to one syllable come out his mouth before I have to stop the tape. He is the worst mc of all time.
