Fantazia EP #5 possibilities

I've heard that complaint by others before - the noise they refer to (scraping sound over the bassline breakdown) is on EVERY release of this track (vinyl/CD/MP3) apart from the original vinyl pressing. Which indicates it's deteroration of the DAT tape, so will likely be on any future release too.

I got it on repress myself and its fine. Its more than good enough to play out which I've done a few occasions. Always seeing copies of the repress for cheap. If I didn't have I'd snap one up tomorrow. People on this thread are requesting it on a repress that might not happen rather than jumping on a cheap copy on the net!!?

Hi,

I realise ppl want "Lokking Into The Light", but it will only be the same quality of the previous represses, may actually sound worse due to being condensed to 33rpm with only half a side.

I have the original and can assure you that none of the represses sound as crisp. That said, the quality reduction wouldn't be noticed by most ppl

A PSI ep would be wicked, their stuff is quality and really underrated imo. But I do also really like that St.Ives track so certainly wouldn't say no if that got popped on there somewhere

I've asked Slam about Looking Into The Light, so will hopefully get a yes or no on that in the next couple of days. So at the moment I'm thinking:

A1: DJ Slam - Looking Into The Light
A2: PSI - Forever
B1: St. Ives - The Pulse
B2: PSI - Inner Understanding

I'd much prefer to have 3 unreleased tracks and one 'anthem' than rehash tracks from previous Fantazia EPs personally.

OK guys DJ Slam is confirmed :) Will be opening pre-orders later, and this will be the track listing based on feedback from this thread:

A1: DJ Slam - Looking Into The Light
A2: PSI - Forever
B1: St. Ives - The Pulse
B2: PSI - Inner Understanding

Interestingly, Slam told me that the reason for the lesser quality of the previous 2001 repress is because it WAS from the original plate, which at the time was 9 years old. So it WILL be better quality on this EP 8)
