I've been into hardcore for 18years now and i think i am actually addicted to the amen break! :)
I defo think i will be listening to it when i am 60+, saying that when i think of myself at 60 listening to hardcore i think no way but i'm sure it will happen. All old people listen to what they grew up with so i guess it won't be an exception with dance scene.
Alot of my mates don't listen to it anymore, they hear the odd track in my car and say it still sounds good. However my sister said to me last week when will i stop listening to this "crap"..."it sounds the same", "i could make this with a casio keyboard"...blah blah, the same comments she said to me back in 92!
Until the music industry gives me something that gets me charged up and makes me happy as hardcore/oldskool dnb does until then i'm in for the long run.
