Finally got hold of this last week:

Calling All The People - The Best Of Whitehouse Records (3x CD)

And it made me realise just how good a label this was. So many different
styles, so many good releases and such variety too. Brilliant label, does
anyone know who was behind it, or any more info?

One of my favourites as well, one of the best labels around circa 93-94. Like you say a comprehensive selection of styles with Bizzy B darkness, nutty acid shit from Dragonfly, straight up jungle care of Remarc and everything in between.

White House was the label from Mo's Distribution i think. That may have helped them grab tracks off the best producers of the day (Criminal Minds, Bay B Kane, Bizzy B, Skanna etc).

Definitely, but only if it doesn't literally blow the cones out of your bass speakers when
that bassline comes in. That is the only tune ever that makes the self-protect thing come
on in the Bose system in my car

Few of my mates back then worked at MO's, i had a account down there so rarely bought records from shops, i was allowed to just pick and choose what i wanted from the warehouse in Walthamstow and paid the same price the shops paid. Sometimes my mate would arrange for the van drivers to stop off at my house so i could pick off the back of the vans.I wish i knew then what i know now there was so many tunes due to come out on whitehouse that never materialised due to one thing or another.

4-Mega - 'Drop This' was one of the first less mainstream Hardcore tunes i bought back in 1992.
Wandered into 'Underground Connection' in Colchester, being slightly naive I wasn't sure what the dude in the shop meant when he asked me if i wanted to listen to it first,
got confused and just blindly bought it.
Happy days.

seems to me one of the best labels regardless of what end of the hardcore/jungle spectrum you fit in. for just the bay b kane and ellis dee alone it gets three thumbs up from me.
