Yeah. I'd have to agree with that. I wasn't there every week, but enough that most regulars knew my face, and it had to help that I knew a few of the "bigger" people that you wouldn't want to tangle with

Must admit i never came across anything too bad, but then again there was always a group of us and we were quite well known.
We went to a few of the moody venues. Places like Lazerdrome had a bad rep but i was never involved in anything there - and the music was quality !
Stayed away from raves like Roast, Desert Storm, Telepathy etc

Bagleys. Moody as fuck.
Club UN was just as bad, perhaps even worse.

Wasn't Club UN in Tottenham? Not surprised if so. That area is SHADY!

yes Club UN was in Tottenham and Tottenham was far worse in the 90's than what it is now. I had a few friends that were from Tottenham and they told me not to go to Club UN so I listened to them.
Bagley's wasn't that moody unless you was involved in the dealing or you pissed the wrong person off.

The worst vibe I can think of was Innovation at Bagleys in about 2000. Proper moody all night. Comedown from the night before probably didn't help :)
The only time I've got in any trouble myself was at the Sanctuary, was either a Slammin Vinyl or Helter Skelter, can't remember. Got a bottle thrown at me by someone.

I went to Club UN in about 1997 for an 'old skool' night and thought it was fine....
I recall going to SW1 around the same time and thinking it was a bit moody - mainly due to the garage back room which consisted of geezers lining the walls watching girls dance in the middle.
Beyond that the only issue i ever had was someone apparently pulling out a shooter when we were in the queue for a jungle do at The Astoria in late 94.
Needless to say we left!

Would have been sometime in 1995 or 1996 I went to Club UN. Lived up the road at the time, used to have a tank outside, weren't many white people inside.
The walk from Kings Cross tube to Bagleys was dodgy as fuck, past all the gas towers with the local rude boys driving up & down in their BMW's. Similarly to Club UN, I went a couple of times & it just seemed shady.
I used to spent the majority of my time in Club UK either at Final Frontier or the house nights on a Saturday which both were like a proper indoor rave. The more jungle orientated clubs like UN or Bagleys just seemed moody in comparison.

Agreed. Club UK was about as unmoody as you could get. Happy days!
