Other than that valium or Xanax is what you want although obviously hard to get hold of! Take care with those bad boys if your caining the sauce as well... looks like Whitney is yet another celeb to succumb to the prescription drugs. Re: Pictures of record shops?

I always used to go to Groovefinder in Portsmouth for my oldskool, and VIP vinyl in chichester for the new stuff. Doubt there's any pics of those about.

I remember some of those destiny parties at the Manor in Bournemouth. A coach load of nutters going up from Pompey of a weekend. Good times.

Mix sets you always go back to

I listen to lots of different music, but there are a selection of oldskool DJ mixes I always go back to, and have listened to probably a hundred times each... i always had the cassette in my bag - or nowadays its always on the ipod as the default setting; Groove & Fabio - Dreamscape 3 Ratty - Edge 5...

Re: Unexpectedly good production values or techniques...

I have to mention slipmatt's SMD's - the fatness of those tracks and the way he used the amen set a new standard for hardcore, and most tunes after these releases were copying that sound.
I was always very impressed with the vibes and wishdokta releases as well (until the tunes went shit in 1996).

Re: Post a photo of your record collection

Gyr8, just for the sake of curiosity mate, how did you manage to get all the records and why were you sent them even in test press by all the labels back in the day? It's something that really intrigues me. I'd love to see your XLT 76 Test Pressing, that would be amazing indeed :) Answer the questi...

Re: Unexpectedly good production values or techniques...

i was listening to Tango - Timebomb yesterday, and the production on that is really nice. Its a very simple track but just works so well, the bass and drums are clean and it all sits together very nicely. This is in comparison to tracks that came out only a few months earlier on Formation like the I...

Re: the death of london town

Get out of these high immigrant areas , they're done , they're toast. This is what you get for 13 years of left wing New Labour politics. I'm not actually sure what this means... as far as i can see tories have come in - cut everything and looked after the rich - so its kicked off. Its a shame that...

Genesis Project (early grey remix) - possibly my favourite dnb tune from the era. I also really love the mix of back to my roots on worldwide ultimatum. Would be fantastic if we could get the fast floor releases and the early grey stuff on WAV at some point, as its all cd and flash drives these days...

Re: Joining the EDL?

No, but I do agree with a tiny bit of what they (and much as I hate to say it) the BNP stand for. The UK definitely needs to stop being a free for all destination, and people wanting to come here should be willing to take on some British values and responsibilites, just like a Brit does when they w...
