Re: UPLIFTING PIANO SOUNDS
Most in here use the Korg M1 VSTi but I've used Korg Wavestation and sampled pianopresets from SampleTank the most. You can get more variated sound by EQ of course but there are plenty and more ready, usable piano presets in many synths.

Re: 1 week 2 vote COMPETITION VOTE
Really love the #2 most as well. I've listened to all of these a few times now and this was one of my personal TOP 3 that stood out already from the first play. So there.

Re: Nitemare On Elm Street Remake
Yes, exactly. Silicon graphics were great at the time, that style really gives some cyberpunk/techno feel to it. But maybe we should discuss about Lawnmover man in another thread?AtomSmasher wrote: "Look at the GRAPHICS!!!!!"

Re: Nitemare On Elm Street Remake
Yeah, I saw the trailer earlier and it looks poor. The worst thing is (although you can't see much of it) that it doesn't even look like Freddy and that's sacrilegious.

Re: 1 week 2 vote COMPETITION VOTE POLL
Yeah lots and lots of great tracks. Squatski asked how the voting was done previously and that was by writing the vote inside the thread, that way it was easier to make sure that everyone voted once and not for themselves. For example, it is impossible to track down that every contestant votes this ...

Re: 1 week 2 vote
Might be worth describing what this thread is about you know, maybe in the subject as well. Also, the download link to the tracks would be nice so we can hear what to vote

Re: Which sequencers did the oldskool pioneers use?
Yeah I had a feeling Bizzy B may have used the Amiga as a lot of his stuff sounded lofi, maybe Swift & Zinc used one too as they released some stuff on Brain Records which sounded quite lofi..? :o This is not the absolute truth 'cos I've only heard a rumour but afaik Zinc used an Amiga as late as '...

Re: Which sequencers did the oldskool pioneers use?
The 8 tracks via 2 amigas was due to how the amiga did sound - 2 channels on the left, 2 on the right, so for them to get say the drums coming out of both left and right, they had to put the same drums on a left and right channel (using up 2 tracks). so the 8 tracks were really 4 mono tracks (or ma...
