Re: work colleegues that are into Oldskool... underground da

Years ago there was a bloke temping at my office who was into dj'ing/promoting hard house, but otherwise no not a sausage. Most people just look baffled when I try to describe what I do and what music it is! To be fair I think this is just standard for most people - I don't actually know anyone in r...

Re: Question for record shop workers/buyers in 92

Bluebird in bromley was always good for jungle 95/96, dj choppa d (rude fm i think) he was always a nice guy. Used to go here about 93-95, good for the jungle/d'n'b like you say and also happy stuff. When they opened the basement and moved that stuff down there, the upstairs was good for house too.

Re: who's going to vinyl touch??

I went to the last one of these - was absolutely rammed!! I've not actually seen a club that busy in years, made a really nice change from the poorly attended/everyone outside smoking events you mostly get these days. Quality night.

Re: 360 gamers..

Playing Homefront at the moment - awesome multiplayer. Also still on Battlefield Bad Company 2, and really looking forward to Battlefield 3. Black Ops was definitely a bit pants although I still come back to it occasionally.

Re: Jonny L "The Ansaphone" sample

There was an XL mixtape mixed by Liam Howlett free with an issue of DJ mag at some point in 93/94ish with this on it. I remember there was a piece about it in the mag with an interview with either Jonny L or Liam or someone to do with the label. They said the samples were all taken from answerphone ...

Re: Virgin Rant

We had a Virgin engineer booked to come round for a broadband fault. He never showed up, we phoned to ask what happened and were told "we had to cancel it but couldn't ring to let you know as we didn't have your phone number". Errr.... you supply our phone line!
