Re: Coldcut : 70 Minutes Of Madness Anniversary

They are the greatest. End of. No one even comes close to this lot. My whole DJing life has been influenced by these 4. I have the DJ Food album covers as artwork on my dining room wall. Multi genre turntable hooligans.

Re: Do you guys collect anything...

Trainers. I have around 70ish pairs, old Air Jordans, Adidas Torsions, various other Adidas from the 70s and 80s, loads of Dunlop Greenflash. Nice, I have several pairs of Jordan VI in my favourite colours. Have always loved them since getting a pair of the black/infrared ones back in 1992. Sadly I...

Re: Which DJ Decks Should I buy?

Has to be a pair of 1200/1210s. The only all round turntable worth owning. Can you name another piece of electrical equipment that's still in use around the world 30 years after it was released. I can only think of Marshal amps and I suspect that the innards are different these days.

Re: Decent small-ish speakers?

I recently bought a pair of JBL control 1s. You may find they are bit small, but they are cheap, loud and sound good for the price. Plus they are a bit old school. :-)

Re: Your Turntables?

1210s from the mid 90s sometime. Nothing wrong with them, though they could probably do with a service and new cables.

Re: Rep your mixer history!

I started off with a blue and yellow thing, it had a line of LEDs running up the middle and came with various manufacturers names stamped on it. Mine was Soundlab, they were extremely common and they were shit. I don't think I ever came across one that worked properly. Then I upgraded to one of thes...

Re: Game Changers: Goldie 'Terminator'

For me it was 'Some Justice' I was at a Raindance and Mr Finn dropped it for the first time. I cant describe the feeling it gave me. That Run DMC break, those vocals That fucking B-line... Just perfect, captured the entire hardcore movement.

Orsum label, loads of bangers. I seem to remember a one sided tune. The B side has the logo etched on it I think. Dancehall Dangerous remix?
