Re: Accepting the wrong job

I spoke to a few people and they all said the same thing, that one such move is OK, especially if you were at the previous place for several years. If you do it multiple times, then you will have a problem getting inte...

If a speaker wire is shorting somewhere, it will cut out all the sounds. I had that once, but often it would only short out if I turned it up and the bass would vibrate the wire so that it touched metal. Sounds more like a power issue though, maybe you just need a capacitor. Another problem I have h...

Re: Customs stole my Twinkies!
You're not allowed to bring fresh food through customs, so twinkies should pose no problem. I managed to bring some gammon into the States once for my father in-law. I went to customs and apologised for having a sandwich and an apple, and would they like to take it? They thanked me for being so hone...

Re: Am I missing something!!!

This way you can justify the revenue. (I have not bought an ounce of speed for over 10 years so I have no idea what the cost would b...

Re: Imperial Measurements
At least you have proper imperial measurements, not a bastardised american version designed with smaller pints so they can pretend to drink more and pay less for petrol and measure solids of different density by volume.

Re: Home brewing?
I came the realisation some time ago that I am no longer poor enough to drink my own homebrew.
