Re: Copyrights on vocals, etc...

Goldie was talking about this in a video a while ago and pretty much nailed my attitude towards it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oApNAsPK_So Around the 2.05 mark.

Yeah, it's a 10 but they haven't said what's on the b side. Hope it's not single sided.

Re: Record shops in and around Brighton?

Of course if you're expecting racks and racks of obscure white labels and 1 off mispresses, you might be a little disappointed.

Re: Record shops in and around Brighton?

Well last time I went in, and in fact most times I've been in, there have been a good 50-100 old hardcore records and a couple of racks of 93-99 jungle/drum and bass. Given the slim pickings in most london record shops, I'd say that's pretty good. :-p

Re: Record shops in and around Brighton?

Don't listen to Gyr8, Rk bass is a fantastic shop and well worth a visit. (Although, tbf, they have far more jungle than hardcore). If you're after hip hop too, Rare kind downstairs, is a hip hop shop and seems pretty stocked up (although I don't buy much hip hop so can't comment on how good it is)....

Re: Do you guys collect anything...

All in about £250 I think. Can't really remember. If I'd planned it a bit better and done some more research I probably could have done it a bit cheaper. Got a proper arcade monitor for it now (which cost another £100) but haven't got around to installing it as it's massive and I need to finish the ...

Re: Do you guys collect anything...

Where did you get the bits to make your own cabinet from? How much did it cost in total? To be honest it probably cost about the same as just buying an old one from ebay, did it more as a challenge kind of thing. But anyway, bought a couple of sheets of plywood, got an old tv from freecycle, bought...

Re: Do you guys collect anything...

Mostly old computer games/arcade stuff. Got a Nes, a Snes, a Megadrive, an N64, a Ps2, A Gameboy and several Gamegears (which I bought with the intention of doing an led mod on them and selling, however so far I've only done it to two of them). I've also built myself a consolized Neo geo (basically ...

Re: trying to remove crowd noise from vocals

Ah thanks, you've just reminded me, think there's a similar thing in cool edit pro and adobe audition. Is the Izotope one better?

trying to remove crowd noise from vocals

I've got a recording from a backstage interview and I just want to make the actual interview stand out a bit more from the background chatter/noise from the main room. I realize this is probably damn near impossible, because the background chatter and the interview share the same eq band but if anyo...
