Review by Matt Clarke

Well what can I say,  6 hours of pure Old Skool, 300 hundred people and a boat!

I arrived at 12:10 expecting to see the Dutch Master sailing off under London Bridge without me, but luckily I wasn't the only one to arrive late!  Once aboard it was straight to the bar for some liquid refreshments and then off to the top deck to take in the sights as we passed under London Bridge and then Tower Bridge waving at the passing tourist boats.  The sound system was nice and loud (to start with anyway, but more about that in a second) but some people were expecting the music to also be played up on the second floor too, but because of the big hole the in the floor, the sound passed up so you could hear what you were missing.

A few vodkas later after Herman and Storm and finished their sets, we were passing The Dome and it was time to take to the dance floor with the sounds of the DJ Ellis Dee.  It was at the end of his set that the top range on the speakers blew and we were left with only the mid-range and bass.  Next up was DJ Flashback playing his normal mix of classic anthems and lesser know tunes.  By this point I was regretting not eating anything as I was beginning to get light headed and was in need of FOOD!  Unfortunately this turned out to be the second problem.  No snacks.  No mars bars, crisps or anything.  Shout out to Steve from the Old Skool List for giving me his apple that he had in his bag!  Back to the dance floor again (which had now become a bit slippy) for the DJ Squirrel.

Finally it was Devious Dave's turn to spin and people were making the most of the final chance to dance.  As we were coming back under Tower Bridge it was my last chance for a bit of the old rapid whistle blowing as Some Justice was dropped and the whole place was moving (quite literally as the boat bobbed from side to side).

Best part of the event was the 180 degree turn down by the Dartford Bridge as everyone had trouble standing upright as the dance floor moved in every direction (a really weird feeling!)

Shouts out to the old skool list (Matt, Tamsin, Darren, Rob, Steve, Maxx, Penfold, Flashback, Herman, SmartE, Jonathan, Mike, Clive, Grace & Derek and anyone else I've forgotten!), The Raindance Crew, Barry (oi oi!!), Mark Binge and the other 290 odd people.
