"When Ratpack and Nicky Blackmarket were chosen to mix and compile this album, it wasn't to be just another old skool compilation, but the recreation of an era... an era which has long since gone, but will never be forgotten.

For those of you who can remember rave's early days, you will recall these ambassadors of the scene ripping up the dancefloors in front of tens of thousands of people and carving their names into the dance music history books. They were the epitome of all that was good about the rave scene and whilst the press and authorities launched their acid rave crackdown, Nicky Blackmarket, the infamous Ratpack and many others carried on regardless. In the middle of one of the worst financial situations ever to hit the country, the rave scene carried on regardless. There was no recession for the UK's party people.
