I first got "into" raving back in 1991 when I was 17. A group of friends and I went to Ibiza for our summer holiday. At the time the big style of music out there was Belgum rave. Many a night was spent dancing away to tunes like T99 - Anasthasia and Quadrophonia - Quadrophonia
When we got back a tune had just been released by a group called The Prodigy. The tune was called Charly after I heard that I was truly hooked.
I prefer the older style tunes of 92/93/94 but I still try to listen to new Jungle/Drum & Bass tunes, my favourite artists being Urban Takeover, DJ Hype, Omni Trio. I own two Technics 1210 turntables and I am trying to master the art of mixing, I can almost get two tunes in time now!!! :-) My most favourite tunes (in no order as they change position weekly!) are: Champion Sound (The Alliance Remix) - Q Project *Any claims that I have been biased in selecting the tunes that are in the archive, are completely true!! |
