FAQ

Audio

Why are there no MP3 files?

I don't have the space to host MP3 versions of the tunes in the Rave History Archive. For every one MP3 file I can have four Windows Media files. I don't spend loads of money tracking down tunes to give near perfect copies away to you lot :-) If you want the tune, go buy it.

How do I listen to the samples of the tunes on the website?

Just click the play icon on the embedded media player.

Buying Tunes

Where can I buy a copy of [insert album name here]?

If you are after CD's then you can buy a copy from the albums section. Just follow the link Old Skool Albums section.

Where can I get this tune on 12"?

Take a look in the links page and check out the on-line stores. If you look hard enough you should be able to find what you want... if you have the cash!!! Or you could try ebay.

Where can I get hold of mix tapes from past events.

The best bet is to contact the promoter as it is them that will have recorded it in the first place. If the promoter no longer exists, try the tape exchange sites listed on the links page.

I live in the musical desert of California, Los Angeles to be precise and I would love to order some cds would there be any problems with mailing stuff over here?

All depends on who you order the tunes from. Some UK companies are not big enough to accept orders from overseas. Contact the site directly yourself.

I had a really good time at the last event I went to. Can you let me know when the next one is?

Yes, but not personally ! Check the Old Skool Events section, if I know about an event, I'll try to put detail on there.
