I sometimes think Liam Howlett is a musical genius lurking under this rebel hell exterior that the prodigy has become! Anything after 1996 or fire starter I’ve not really felt it. Like someone said they’ve not been the real prodigy for over 20years true. Have they been corrupted by money or by the other band members, but who am I to judge sure they are down to Earth really. Seems Liam should do some sensible solo stuff to show his real art form, i mean ain’t he a classically trained pianist to begin with? Be interesting what stuff we ain’t heard from him in his secret home or stash.

Well I thought there would be a be a new single by end of 2017(well no bloody Liam for ya), well not on commercial release just yet but he has dropped this tune in their live gigs end of 2017 called I Need some 1, listen here

m.youtube.com/watch?v=w7zsIgJVNBs

I need someone? Hmmm a hit or what? Is this part of the dating apocalypse that the internet has caused for loads of singles or what? Or is the tune a pendulum mosh tune? It is different though?

Cheers mArk.

Peace.

You’ve probably heard it all before but everyone or most people my age say music is not as good as used to be and every rave video says “These were the good old days and what the f^^K we got nowadays days? Facebook and Xfactor! F**k that!” People on forums say there is good music out there but you gotta find it? Bollocks I don’t remember hunting down rave music, it came to me in 1991 introduced by my brother and heard the prodigy on radio 1. Also when I say give me some suggestions of good music or a link I never seem to like it. So am I looking in wrong places or is it scientific fact it was better back in the day? So you got any suggestions that might be any better in today’s music? What you reckon!?

Just had a thought, what was the first records to have those rave stabs or synth sounds, was it someone like Todd terry or something? Wasn’t just inner city good life in th late 80s was it or what ever it was called?

The good ol’ love session or quick shag or a tug, which is normally a rush between the legs! Or where there’s a rush between the ears when listen to your favourite tune and hits the good part? So basically what’s better Headrush from music or sex with yo women or partner? For me I’ve had a lot more fun with music than any women really ! What you reckon ? I heard one documentary some teen was saying being on mdma is better than sex man! Yeah is it all hype though?

Yeah some of those classics mentioned are on YouTube on totp’s lol 1986, also what was that classic that had those lyrics ‘the music just keeps going on ... and on’ think it said, nice house classic but can’t really remember who did it.

Well we all know how it all began, well I sort of do, I didn’t really get into rave until 1991. But do you believe it all started with Paul Oakenfold and three other dJdoos going to Ibiza and seeing some dj play Chicago house or bleric beat or what ever you called it back then in 1987, taken ecstasy for first time, then bringing the sound to London then Uk followed?? Think it’s a myth it was all down to them, think there was more going on than that! For me Paul Oakenfold was someone who made a few good records then commercialised the hell out of trance and end up making cheesy pop music! No hero of mine!

What you reckon, what are your stories how it began?

Seems to be some interesting stuff about the certain music scenes like rave scene, the drugs, who started it, 30years of acid house and links with CIA and shadowy government and was all a set up and didn’t develop organically? Bit David icke but with music.

You might like.

Coolbreeze created a new topic ' Was RAVE music the work of the DEVIL?' in the forum. 2 months ago

Hi all, you’ve heard It all before rock and roll, pop, punk, disco and then rave was all the work of devil? What did religious people say about Rave music? Was the Music evil and to poison the minds of the rebel youth at the time? I mean at the start of the rave era we had acid house, a recession in uk and 3million unemployed in thatcher era, everything was blamed on the young, the youth thought fuck it we’ll party to reptivive beats and squelchy synths and create a cult like following and party hard? Did it help improve people’s lives or was it all a distraction and instead of solving our problems we turned to hedonistic pleasure instead? People like mark devlin a dj who wrote the book music truth thinks a lot of the music scenes in 20th century were all set up to munipulate the masses but in what way? Its obvious the Beatles and a lot of famous big rock groups were set up with corporate backing and used by global elites but for what or for big bucks? I always thought underground rave was a very organic movement and was from bottom up rather than top down like commercial music or anything set up. Even so the rave scene was the last true genre of the last decade, last century and of the last millennium. Was it really the peak of all music? Because to my ears nothing touch’s it since? I mean where’s today’s big genres or movements? Jack shit really!

I did hear once (think I recall) in an interview Liam wanted to quit after gilted era, but fans kept pressuring him to do more and hassled him so he made fat of the land, made loads of money and it continues. I also heard he is going back to roots, so the new stuff might be like your love or charley who knows?

Wasn't really keen on them in the first place but frequency was a good past tune. They weren't really rave artists but rather a silly rave act in clownish dust masks.
