My first copy of dark stranger and RIP were warped. Took them back to the Vault in Bournemouth and got new copies. Still RIP is warped. Not to impressed as they set me back £11 each plus I put a posting and video on their Facebook page and no response....

I used to use the site a lot more in the early to mid 2000's having first found the rave archive which really got me hooked. I only started raving in 2002 but loved oldksool so this was like my bible. Being able to Id tracks, listen to tape rips and hear so many good stories from the true original ravers. I think Facebook and Youtube defiantly have something to do with it. Now you can watch every rave ever put on and listen to almost every tune on youtube. I hope the site stays open as it holds a lot of fond memories...

Paid about £50 for the first Kniteforce release. Wouldn't pay that for a tune now though no matter how much I want it. Ive always wanted a copy of the Capsule EP but again couldn't warrant spending Discogs money for it.

Would love to make an offer on such a big collection to fill up my shelves but couldn't spend that sort of cash I'm afraid. If you would be interested in breaking it down into smaller batches then let me know.

Dreamweave1 replied to the topic 'Vinyl insurance' in the forum. 6 months ago

Generally a collection would only be classed as a number of items that would devalue considerably if one of the pieces was missing, like a necklace and earring set or stamps Books, vinyl, cd's or dvd's are standard contents. I currently work for a higher risk insurer and this would be the case. Vinyl are not classed as high risk items like jewellery, musical instruments, paintings, artwork etc. Proof of ownership like photographs or recipes would be advisable. It is a hard one though as some people have many thousands and generally don't have receipts. I would say photograph or catalogue them all or the ones that are worth a bit of money or are rare, even in a book or word document to support what you have, its time consuming but would be the best way to protect your records if you need to make a claim on home insurance. Hope this helps!

Darren Styles and Gammer have started doing some Hairstyle remixes with people like Da Tweekaz. The scene is massive in Europe but hasn't really kicked off here.

Used to only buy DnB and Hardcore but recently been buying all sorts from 70's and 80's classics. Haven't bought as much hardcore recently as record prices are quite expensive. Also been buying the late night tales albums and classic Hardstyle. Want to get down the record fair in Bridport, Dorset, I miss proper record shopping rather than buying off the internet.
