DJ Reckless
Not being able to get enough of the Old Skool sound through raves and the
occasional mix CD, I decided to start mixing in early 2000. Since then I’ve
played for promoters both in Leeds and London, and hosted the Old Skool room
at the Innovation Weekender in Spain. I’ve also guested on Leeds Student
Radio; interFACE; and Breakpirates.
I still adore the majority of the classics, despite being overplayed.
However I think there’s an important need to introduce lesser know tunes;
whether they were produced in the early nineties or more recently. Above all
it’s about keeping it fun and pushing the scene forwards.
The last tune of my set was produced with help from Chris Impact. Whilst
blatantly nicking the riff from Far Out (cheers Danny!), I hope everyone
enjoys hearing it as much as we did making it!
