Probably not for here, but it is old
Been listening to a set by Twitch (Edinburgh techno DJ with his partner Brainstorm since about 1988) at the Magic Waves festival in Berlin. It's a set of old synth pop with some modern remixes chucked in. It's fucking brilliant, a great WestBam remix of Fad Gadget and an amazing tune I have to ID at 1hr 15 mins in.
Might not be everyone's cup of tea (and no tracklist all you peeps on the other thread!) but I wanna go and see Twitch play now.

Thanks for the heads up - this is right up my street
Is the tune you are after (1hr 15mins) the one with the vocal samples "I just dont know what I'm supposed to be" .. "i'm stuck" ... "does it get easier"?
If so, I am sure they are from the Bill Murray film "Lost in Translation"
<edit .. after a quick Google>
Is it this ..?

Yeah, I found it a few days ago. It's a great tune, and best of all the album it's on is a free download.
I really like that tune, though probably because it reminds me of Agraphobia by LA Synthesis. The mix is great because it's a mixture of new and old tunes, but the old tunes aren't the more commercial hits of the day. His shows on Rinse seem to be really good too.

There used to be a weekly show on London's Resonance FM called 'a colder consciousness' that was really good .. it was listed as "minimal synth, coldwave and synth noir - dark, dystopian, sentimental synthetica from the early 1980s"
It was presented by Flora Pitrolo who really knew her stuff and played some real obscurities .. she had Daniel Miller from Mute records in the studio for one show that I heard online (Fad Gadget is played)

It looks like the show has now moved to Skopje's Kanal 103 between 9pm and midnight every first Sunday of the month

Just heard a version of this with a lovely little slow breakbeat. Played by B Traits [emoji12] at the Ibiza Rocks BBC thing. Sounds wicked. Check it out at the end of her set. http://bbc.in/1K0ximzian saunders remix wrote:Yeah, I found it a few days ago. It's a great tune, and best of all the album it's on is a free download.
Might be a Paul Woolford mix ?? Who seems to be doing a lot of breaks stuff which I really like.... unless someone knows for sure?

Is B. Traits popular with the kids? Obviously she's popular with me (nude nudge wink wink), but she seemed to come out of nowhere and end up with a show on Radio 1.

Don't know mate but I've decided to stalk (sorry, follow) her on Twitter just to see what all the fuss is about [emoji6]
