What happened to Mickey Skeedale ?
Used to produce some top tunes with Dougal in the late 90s/early 00s.
Is he still producing ? I don't remember anything by him from the UK Hardcore scene which evolved from HHC.

Hi,
He was still producing approx 2 years ago. Perhaps he gave up producing what hardcore has turned into, as the music now is so naff

it's hard to imagine that being too much of a problem given that he was Dougal's engineer! certainly responsible for some of the more insipid cheese from the late 90s. IMO :) although i love the EP he did with Demo. and Emerald.dj_gyr8 wrote:Hi,

They came up with some real HHC classics of that era (IMO) :Traffic Cone wrote: certainly responsible for some of the more insipid cheese from the late 90s. IMO :)

The last production I can find on the UK Hardcore scene is from Bonkers 14 (2005) where he did "In The House"

Re: What happened to Mickey Skeedale ?
Last tune on Discogs was 2010. Don't know what he's up to now but i'd be surprised if he wasn't still producing or doing something in the backroom of hard house or house.
I'll ask Dougal on Twitter and see what he says.

Does anyone know what the remix of '7 Days' Ramos used to play in 1994 was? It wasn't the "4 to the Floor" Recordings version. Sounded like an unreleased Sunset Regime production.

i can honestly say i don't like any of those tracks :D except On A High, but only the vastly superior Fade & Heatwave remix.oldskoolforever wrote: Lovetoy

i think i prefer my cheese a little more shameless. the Dougal & Skeedale stuff just felt a bit too wet and insipid. give me offbeat stabs over a powerballad any day.

I don't like that remix, but the dubplate mix of "On A High" is superb.Traffic Cone wrote:i can honestly say i don't like any of those tracks :D except On A High, but only the vastly superior Fade & Heatwave remix.

Lovetoy & Really Love You are great tunes. I'd agree that everything after 96 was a bit Duncan Norvelle.Traffic Cone wrote:i can honestly say i don't like any of those tracks :D except On A High, but only the vastly superior Fade & Heatwave remix.oldskoolforever wrote: Lovetoy

Hi,
Very simply formula, a la Slipmatt, hence why so much success in mid 90's.
There were some gr8 remixes of some of his tracks, especially the DJ fade remix of Emerald - still one of my fave remixes from the 90's.

Re: What happened to Mickey Skeedale ?
Just had another look, actually his involvement with hardcore ended in 2005, the stuff after was just remixes of his older tunes. He's from Northampton (like Dougal) so if anyone lives near there and is part of the "Northampton scene" (LOLOL) maybe they can ask.
Don't know why, but Micky Skeedale always seemed like such a made-up name.
