what's is it with today and multi coloured chino trousers?

Post by squatski » Mon Feb 25, 2013 9:45 pm

is this the new youth tribe? so we had mods v rockers v hippies, all the way to the 2000's when it was metalheads and chavs, but now there seems to be alot of people wearing chino's? is it the chavs wearing them or is it the on-going indie thing from the mid 90s? or have I confused my self? there seems to be a new culture called the 'chino wankers'. basically, anyone who wears coloured chinos.

I'll stick to me baggy jeans and not give a fuck what anyone thinks I fit into, a group y'know.

Scary - you can't tell who the chavs are now.
I blame one direction.

Tight maroon chinos coupled with a quilted jacket and a ridiculous quiff.

I'm rebelling by going all 80s Casual.

God, what is going on. I noticed it recently that all you can pretty much buy in your high street shops is Chinos. Awful.

That's the scary thing, now you can't tell chavs apart from normal people. They're all wearing boating shoes and v neck t-shirts.

isn't this the same as what happened in the 90s? all the madchester and ravers got baggy stuff and bomber jackets, and curtain hair, then didn't the chavs (or townies/pikeys as they were probably called back then) copy that style in the late 90s ? if so, it's just history repeating its self.

Yes true, I remember in 94/95 pretty much everybody was wearing the knock-off Eclipse/Spliffy etc clothes and had no idea they were associated with (or at least spawned from) the rave scene.

I was in Topman the other day (yeah yeah, I know) and there were bomber jackets, acid smilies, broad-horizontal striped tees, tie-dye and 1989-style Sweater Shop style prints; has anyone noticed how boys' hair is getting longer too?

I can fashion heading into that late-80s/early 90s direction again.

YEY! I knew if I kept my 90s stuff long enough it would come back in to fashion.

chinos always remind me of 80's geeks with but teeth and milk bottle rim glasses

the quif over haircut is just their mummys looking after them

worst fashion in years

Yeah, for some reason was fashionable to buy it over size wasn't it, so I've got L and XL. I still fit in to Small :)
