Sy & Jumping jack Frost 10-11 11-12, wicked...yeah edge 1 and sweet harmony but some corkers too.
Then we had Ratpack, usual stuff, SL2 experience: a few big anthems, some impact stuff, pretty uninspiring but it then hit a new low when they dropped House of pain-Jump around (mickey slim mix), Josh wink-higher state consciousness and another mid nineties commercial house track!! They finished with a shit d & b mix of on a ragga tip!

Ellis dee next: I feel this way, your love, don't go I think...but he did play a few good bits like Yolk but by that stage of the night I was ready to kill myself lol

Nebula 2 PA was spoilt as the system didn't cope well with his laptop and was very bassy and not very loud, we left about 440.

Production and lazer was brilliant, crowd were very friendly...thee first couple of hours promised to be one of the best old skool events i've been too, sadly it wasn't....but timeless, rizzla, elusive and me had a good crack anyway!! :-)

Sorry to hear it was a disappointment folks, i enjoyed myself at the last Fantazia on NYE in Birmingham on 2009, seems as if you have to really be picky thesedays about what event you go to where your gonna hear the same anthems 3/4 times in the one night.

Juat as well i rarely go out raving thesedays!!

To be fair if they were playing a few mid 90s house tunes like Camisra, Slipmatt's been doing that in his sets for about 10 years. I quite enjoy it, makes a change :)

Hmmmmmm I am partial to a bit of anthem bashing on occasion and I don't mind the old 90's dance tracks either.

I really wanted to go but couldn't - saw some pics that Rizzla posted and the lazers looked pretty damn good.

Slipmatt did exactly the same thing at Raindance a few weeks back, it was aweful!

House of pain, higher state of consciousness, faithless - imsomnia and others, but it was the old tracks, it was all shitty bassline house remixes, really put a downer on an otherwsie wicked night, god knows why he played this music in the main room at an OLDSKOOL rave!

Yeah I don't mind "quality" house music but House of pain and Josh wink though??you get that at your local Ritzy nightclub. Paying £20-£25 you really don't wanna hear that and a 175bpm mix of on a ragga tip to top it all off at a 20 year reunion party!! LMAO Not really how I remember slipmatt from BITD, I don't think I could ever look him in the eye again after that set! lol

On the plus side, Southport Weekender Woz fuckin Amazing !

Production in the Powerhouse destroyed FANTAZIA and it really had a wicked oldskool rave vibe to it ! Obviously no hardcore but quite a bit of old house from Roger Sanchez and someone called DJ SPinna ! Some twisted detroit techno from Theo Parish too.

And i went there for the old soul ! lol !
