Production Package used to make Oldskool / Breakbeat Hardcor

Hi guys, obviously I have used ableton and Cubase etc for making tunes, but way back in the early 90's and oldskool hardcore was being produced what music packages were being used to make the sound as I know things would have been different back then. Just curious, if anyone knows, then pleased to hear. thanks. Daniel

Cubase was used & also trackers (Like Med or Octamed) - which was used for making Some Justice & I think all of the Slammin Vinyl tunes.
