Name That Synth

Post by Ric » Fri Jan 28, 2011 11:46 am

This pad is in a bunch of oldskool tunes...anyone know which synth is behind it??
Am hoping for a soft version!

Both absolute tunes, by the way. The pad is in the intros of each and has like a running water sound with a choir.

M1 I think - just double checking

Yep - M1 - Card 1, patch 80 - The Planets (or patch 50 in hex)

It´s called "Universe" on the hardware m1s. Absolute classic synth patch :)

Haha, I had a feeling it'd be this very patch before I even opened the thread. The M1's pretty much the definition of classic!

It's got universe mentioned on the vst as well, but it's mixed with another string sound as well, but you can turn that off & up the 'twinkly' bits to make them a bit louder than the choir :)

I'm amazed how quick it was ID to be honest, but I should have thought M1 as it is the synth of those times.
