Rhythm Station Aldershot

Postby jimee » Thu Aug 23, 2007 12:03 pm

I was looking through some old Dream magazines, and found this review of a Fusion night at Rhythm Station, this Fusion was on my birthday 12 years ago!!!

What a wicked venue!

I never had the pleasure of going to Rythm Station but I used to go to Fusion @ Simpsons in Bracknell every Friday
Which was a top night.

was a regular haunt for me back in the 90s, just down the road.

some great memories of that place, someone died there in 97 i think and it killed it off :( its still open but a cheese club called cheeks now and is utter shite.

Used to go there quite often on '94/5 to the jungle nights.

Loads of attitude but no actual trouble when I was there.

It was one of the last places I went to before the scene split. Used to go in 92/93, it was alright, cheap, local, a place to shift pills and warm up for the after parties which were ten times better.

Force Mass Motion did a PA one night I was there which was prolly the best night I had.

Im not in any of those pics which is a shame - that would have been cool!

In 94/95 they had Fusion on a Friday and One Nation on a Saturday, One Nation was always empty! Hard to believe there was a club just down the road, that had wicked nights on both Fridays and Saturdays

I went twice once in *I think* 92 (was based in Aldershot then.. .went to a party afterwards and had to go back to camp still tripping.... not fun!) also went once in what must have been 93. Enjoyed it both times if I remember right.

Must have been just before CDT came in. That stopped a few of my mates raving, either that or they signed off. ;)

DD - Part of the reason I made sure I got out was I really really didn't want to go to Colchester nick and wasn't prepared to stop raving (I got injured which was fortunate as otherwise I was stuck).
