It leaves the way open for someone with some sense to start talking to artists and maybe start a proper site that sells oldschool. Links to youtube and maybe discogs.

Just had my channel terminated thanks to this chump!
Years of uploading stuff all gone just because some muppet with the business acumen of a lettuce leaf thinks he is going to make money from a minorities passion.

Thanks to all who subscribed, liked and listened.

Have youtube actually deleted it or do you have an option to appeal??

I have an option of appeal but what is the point and what do I say?

Just counter claim - I think the youtube thing is an auto music finder based on info they have on specific tracks.

What options do you get??

If your channel goes, that mess up loads of discog vids as well, so we need to do what we can to keep it going.

I'll ask specifics and come back.

Can someone not create claims for copyright infringement against HCJ's channel?
Obviously he claims he has permission etc. but even if he has (IF!), would it be a pain in the arse for him to deal with?
If nothing else it may wind him up.
I know nothing about YouTube, so obviously i could be talking utter rubbish......

An idea was raised to gather info on samples used on the tracks themselves & do that, but looks like he's got the artists to sign to say they're responsible for any uncleared samples rather than his label or him....
Which would then drop them in it rather than him.

Am not up for dropping artists in the shit wether their with him or not. If things go that way then things could go seriously downhill for artists not associated with all of this crap. Anyways with the amount of alienating of potential buyers that he's done within an already small digital oldskool market, I seriously doubt that the store will be here in a year's time. Support artists direct like Luna-C and Dave Charlesworth I say! There a're a few other labels on the likes of Juno and Beatport too. Is Reinforced still on Bleep.com anymore? They had a load of albums on there in January.

Probably right about him not being here in a year but on the flipside, that's a lot of days to shut down a lot more YT channels
