If we can source the missing bass sound we might be able to get something moving along with it

If you mean the bass sound that comes in after " let the bass kick" then that's an easy one!

Let me know and I'll send it over!

Current status is that my gear is set up and I'm starting to put this together again in Logic. I haven't managed to recreate the bass in Logic yet, but I'll keep trying for a while.

In the meantime, I may have an idea where the original sound came from - but I have no idea what the track was called - I only have it stuck in my head. Its a long shot - and I may not even be correct if its found, but I'd love to hear it again anyway.

I only heard the track played once, on Colin Dale or Colin Faver. It stood out to me as it wasn't the usual 4 on the floor type track, and had a lot of synthetic sounding beats.

I've recreated the riff (but not the sound) at https://soundcloud.com/killerhertz-demos/riff

It played on its own for two bars (so easy for me to sample) and then it was followed by the synthetic drum for 2 bars. The sounds in my soundcloud post are not correct, but hopefully someone will recognise the riff and ID the track.

In the meantime I'll crack on.

from discogs earlier this evening.

Typical is that things get lost each time..

Also Trace told me his "Definition of living" tune got lost..

and now there are several people who own a dubplate of it..

and even Trace himself doesn't :-|

Hope this one will be done :D
Hi,

I've got this on a dubplate, its written as, "TRACE - DOL", but its definitely the Amen break version. Didn't know it was rare until recently.

IMO, its not as good as the original, I guess all the hype is simply because Bukem and Rider played it a few times BITD

I've been reading Chris Marwood's latest replies at discogs and he's even asking for pressing possibilities so hopefully this might happen in the end :)

Killerhertz says he has completed the track so it's time to show our interest and he might press it up on vinyl, there's a talk about pre-order on discogs at the moment so if you want this legendary tune to be released please drop a line here :)

You have to be a member of that group to post... And it's invitation only...

I would pre order the vinyl though :)

Might be worth getting a pre-order thread going on here, and linking Killerhertz up to it.

Also.......what other tracks would he be thinking of putting on the release? Any other unreleased jems as I always love a bit of Killerhertz.

PS Forgive me if both points have already been addressed as i've not been keeping upto speed with the thread.

He's currently trying to think of something for the flip - but as he only has cassette copies (not dat or anything from what I gather) it would mean remaking stuff or making new tracks.
